Interview of Mr. SERPIERI when he came to Paris for the dedications of his new Druuna album : the forgotten planet (exclusive interview for druuna.net made the 14 november 2000) DRUUNA HOMEPAGE : Were you already on Internet? M. SERPIERI : Yes, but little D.H : Which style of Internet sites do you like? M.S : The sites which allow me to communicate with people D.H : Have you already looked for sites speaking about your works? M.S : Yes D.H : Are you satisfied with the quality of these sites generally ? M.S : Generally I am satisfied with it, although I find certain uninteresting as far as these give only not enough information. They content with reproducing my pictures. D.H : Did you already go on sites of cartoon and or authors whom you appreciate or not, and that do you think of it? (For example MANARA's site). M.S : As regards MANARA's site, I can not look of precise opinion because I was only glancing through it. As regards the other authors I prefer dive into their works with the books. D.H : Do you think that the B.D has a future on Internet by means of publishing " ONLINE " (how STEPHEN KING did it with two news or of "virtual" said exhibitions? M.S : Is it possible, but in what concerns me I prefer the paper. However, it seems to me difficult to take place of Internet. Internet should not replace the paper, it is another possibility, not a replacement. D.H : About your last album, many Internet users wondered of the lack of erotic scenes with regard to the oldest albums, did you censor either is it a new way to approach the scenario? M.S : I did not absolutely censor, it turns out that in this history, it was not need to add erotic scenes. I do not draw erotic scenes to fill pages, they should be justified. D.H : Do you think of continuing to make live DRUUNA even for a long time by means of this series? M.S : It depends on DRUUNA, I sometimes that it is she decides and not I. D.H : Would not you want to develop a new series with naturally of new persons, to take out you of this universe, either for it of you associate with a script writer ? M.S : Effectively, I think of it, but for the moment I am working on the second volume of " THE FORGOTTEN PLANET " the title of the work of which will be "CLONE". Then, one will see later. D.H : About the video game " MORBUS GRAVIS" do you follow the development ? What do you think of the impact what it will have on the series DRUUNA, during its launch ? M.S : I think that the game not maybe that beneficial for the "paper" series, it is a complement. Any quality by-product can only increase the fame of the person. D.H : If you saw the site DRUUNA HOMEPAGE, that do you think of the quality, knowing that it is still in construction? M.S : I am rather satisfied it, I appreciate the choice of the images which are treated from time to time in "negative" with a blue support.
